대전테미예술창작센터는 8기 입주예술가가 참여하는 첫 프로그램 <2021 프리뷰전>를 개최합니다. 대전문화재단이 운영하는 시각예술 레지던시인 대전테미예술창작센터는 지난해 12월 공모를 통해 입주예술가를 선발하였습니다.
김찬송, 루킴, 성민우, 이민하, 이원경, 임선이, 오묘초, 최정은 총 8명 작가는 대표작 전시를 통해 올해 테미에서 진행 할 각자의 작업 방향을 제시합니다. 전시는 평면, 설치, 영상 등의 다양한 현대미술을 선보이며, 코로나 19 확산을 방지하기 위해 주거시설을 겸하는 스튜디오는 개방하지 않고, 사진과 영상 아카이브로 공개합니다.
입주예술가들은 지난 2월에 입주하여 멘토링, 개인프로젝트 등 레지던시 프로그램을 시작하였고, 7월부터 열리는 개인 프로젝트 전시를 준비하고 있습니다. 올해 8기 입주예술가들의 다양한 창작활동에 성원을 바랍니다. 

Artist Residency TEMI is holding its 2021 Preview, the first program where its eighth term resident artists participates. TEMI is a visual arts residency operated by the Daejeon Culture and Arts Foundation, and it selected this year’s resident artists through an open call last December. 
The eight artists are Kim Chan Song, Ru Kim, Sung Min Woo, Lee Min Ha, Lee Won Kyung, Im Sun Iy, Omyo Cho and Choi Jung Eun. They are suggesting the directions of the works they will work at TEMI this year by exhibiting their leading works. The exhibits in various genres of contemporary art such as paintings, installation works and videos will be presented via online photography and video archive. To prevent the spread of the COVID-19, the artists’ live-in studios will not be open to the public.    
The resident artists moved in the residency in February and have started to take part in TEMI’s programs including the mentoring program and individual projects. They are also preparing for their solo exhibitions which will begin to open in July based on their individual projects. We are looking forward to your warm support for the diversified activities of our eighth term resident artists.
