지금의 시간을 위한... 
우리는 현재를 진단하며 과거를 돌아보거나 미래를 예측할 수 있다. 하지만 과거를 통해서 현재를 만들기도, 미래를 통해서 현재를 다시금 인식하기도 한다. 그리고 이러한 과정을 거치면서 삶에 대한 객관적인 시각을 갖게 된다. <2015 프리뷰> 전시는 ‘예고’를 의미하는 단어에서 드러나듯이 7명(팀)의 2기 입주예술가 김주리, 더 바이트 백 무브먼트(이승연, 알렉산더 어거스투스), 이선희,  박소영, 조영주, 티치아나 질 벡, 홍기원이 세상을 바라보는 시선과 태도를 공유하는 자리이다. 설치, 드로잉, 영상 등 다양한 매체를 활용하지만, 이들의 공통된 관심사는 ‘지금의 시간’, 즉 ‘현재’의 역설적인 사회현상과 개인적인 경험을 바탕으로 제시하는 더 나은 현재이다. 
더 바이트 백 무브먼트는 예술가의 상상력으로 만든 기이한 모습의 미래를 통해 일상에서 항상 마주하지만 지나쳤던 것들을 돌아보게 한다. 반면 김주리, 이선희, 벡은 과거의 시간을 엮어 지금을 보여주고 있다. 김주리는 완벽하게 만들어진 집이 물에 의해 붕괴되는 과정을 공유하며 시간에 따라 새로운 것이 만들어지고 없어진 후 다시 시작되는, 순환하는 삶의 고리를 생각하게 한다. 이선희의 뜨개질은 과거의 시간을 고스란히 안고 있는 옷을 풀고 다시 엮는 몸짓을 통해 보다 나은 현재를 만들고 싶은 작가의 희망을 전달한다. 그리고 벡은 10개월의 한국 체류 기간 동안 보아온 한국 사회에서 빈번하게 발생하는 역설적인 모습을 성공을 의미하는 트로피, 남녀 커플을 통해 위트 있게 보여준다.
박소영이 여성, 아이, 동물 등 우리사회의 중심에서 구분되어진 약자들을 낙엽, 쓰레기와 같은 보잘 것 없는 재료를 통해서 드러내고 있다면, 조영주는 외국과 한국에서 작가 이전에 여성이기에 받았던 시선과 차별의 경험을 과장된 모습으로 보여준다. 또한 어린 아이부터 중년 여성까지 다양한 세대를 대상으로 하는 프로젝트로 오늘날에도 여전히 약자인 여성에게 강요되는 사회적 성역할과 인식을 보여주고 있다. 홍기원은 관객의 참여 없이는 의미가 온전히 전달되지 않는 작품을 통해 관객과 작품 사이에 발생할 수밖에 없는 미묘한 긴장과 상하관계를 깨뜨린다. 
그렇다면 왜 작가들은 지금 이러한 주제 혹은 문제를 다루는가? 그것은 일상에서 우리가 매일 마주하는 현실이기 때문일 것이다. 작가들이 공유하고자 하는 현재의 시간과 경험은 우리 사회에 대한 집요한 관심과 시각적 메시지를 통해 더 나은 현재를 만들고 싶은 그들의 의지이다. 즉, 우리가 두발을 딛고 서있는 지금의 시간을 위한 것이다.


Present
We can diagnose the present, look back on the past, or predict the future. At the same time, we also create the present through the past and perceive the present through the future. By repeating these processes, we can form an objective view of life. As clearly represented by the word ‘preview,’ The 2015 Preview is an exhibition where seven members comprising the second group of TEMI’s resident artists, including KIM Juree, the Bite Back Movement (LEE Seungyoun and Alexander Augustus), LEE Sunhee,  PARK Soyoung, CHO Youngjoo, Tiziana Jill Beck  and HONG Kiwon share their views of and attitudes toward the world. They use various different media, such as installation, drawing and video, but their common concern is ‘the present,' or a better present proposed based on the paradoxical social phenomena of the ‘present’ and personal experiences.   
The Bite Back Movement lets us look back on what we always encounter in daily life but has  passed by until now through a bizarre-shaped future created based on the artists’ imagination. On the other hand, KIM Juree, LEE Sunhee and Beck show the present by weaving in parts of the past. By sharing with us the process of a house built in a perfect shape breaking down because of water, KIM lets us think about the rotating circle of life in which new things are created, destroyed and then started again. LEE’s knitwork conveys the artist’s wish to create a better future through the gestures of unraveling knitwear that holds the time of the past and re-knitting them. Beck wittily presents the ironic situations that frequently take place in the Korean society, which she witnessed during her 10-month stay here, through trophies that signify success and male and female couples.  
If PARK Soyoung reveals the weak, marginalized people in our society using worthless materials such as fallen leaves and waste, CHO Youngjoo offers an exaggerated representation of her experiences of discrimination as a woman, rather than an artist, both in Korea and abroad. In a project that targets different generations from children to middle-aged women, she shows the social gender roles and awareness imposed on women, who are still considered the weaker gender. Meanwhile, HONG Kiwon breaks the subtle tension and the unavoidable subordinate-superior relationship between the viewers and the objects through his works whose meanings cannot be properly delivered without the participation of the viewers. 
Why do the artists then deal with such themes or issues now? That may be because these are the realities that face us every day. The present and experiences that the artists try to share represent their will to make a better present through persistent interest in our society and visual messages that is, for the present, on which each of us are firmly standing with two feet.

▣ 퍼포먼스
- 그랜드 큐티 :  4. 1(수) 오후 6시30분~6:40분
전시작품 ‘그랜드 큐티 ’의 비디오댄스 라이브 퍼포먼스로 대흥동의 중년여성과 함께한 프로젝트입니다.  중년여성의 성 정체성과 일상의 이야기를 음악과 무용으로 발전시켜 표현합니다.

▣ 어린이 교육 프로그램
- 나·너·우리·여기 : 4. 11(토) ~ 5. 3(일) 토, 일 오후4시~6시
초등학교 저학년 대상으로 집, 사회공동체, 가족 등 작가의 작품 주제와 연계한 교육 프로그램을 진행합니다.
(1회 2시간씩, 총 8회 연속 수업)

- 예쁜, 까칠까칠한 : 4. 11(토), 4. 18(토) 오전10시~12시, 오후2시~4시
유치원, 초등학생을 대상으로 성(gender)역할과 그에 따른 선입견에 대해 고민해보는 교육 프로그램을 진행합니다. 
(1회 2시간씩, 1회 수업, 총 4class)
