대전테미예술창작센터는 지난 2월 입주한 8기 입주예술가의 작품 활동 결과를 선보이는 「2021 결과보고전」을 
개최합니다. 일상의 많은 부분을 바꿔버린 코로나19로 인해 폭 넓은 창작활동에 다소 어려운 점도 있었습니다. 
그럼에도 불구하고 한 해 동안 어려운 여건 속에서 늘 열정을 쏟으며 매진한 8명의 창작 결과를 한 곳에서 감상할 수 있는 
전시를 준비하였습니다. 

8기 입주예술가 김찬송, 루킴, 성민우, 오묘초, 이민하, 이원경, 임선이, 최정은 작가의 실험적인 창작활동 지원을 위해 
개별 프로젝트, 재료비 및  멘토링 지원 등 레지던시 프로그램을 운영하였습니다. 이번 결과보고전에서는 입주예술가 
개개인의 철학과 깊이 있는 고민이 담긴 회화, 설치, 영상 등 다양한 장르의 작품을 선보입니다. 

그동안의 결과보고전은 전시와 더불어 창작활동의 산실인 스튜디오를 공개하는 오픈 스튜디오가 같이 진행되었습니다. 
그러나 2020년부터 코로나19 확산 방지를 위해 주거시설을 겸하는 입주예술가의 스튜디오를 개방하지 않고 있으며, 
이번 전시 기간 동안에도 온라인 영상으로 대신 그 내용을 전하게 되었습니다. 

스튜디오는 미개방하지만, 귀한 걸음을 해주신 분들을 위한 소소한 아트 이벤트와 작가들의 면면을 살펴볼 수 있는
 ‘온라인 아티스트 토크’로 관람객분들과 함께하고자 하오니 많은 관심 부탁드립니다. 일부 프로그램을 온라인으로 
진행하게 되어 아쉬운 마음이 크지만 보건 상의 사유임에 양해 부탁드립니다. 방역지침에 따라 안전한 결과보고전이
운영될 수 있도록 만전을 기하겠습니다.

대전테미예술창작센터에 보내주신 그동안의 성원과 많은 분들의 도움에 늘 감사드립니다. 매사에 열정을 쏟은 
8기 입주예술가에게도 다시 한번 감사의 말씀 전합니다. 현대미술을 이끌 8기 입주예술가의 앞으로의 행보에도 
꾸준한 기대와 응원을 바랍니다.

Artist Residency TEMI is presenting the result of art work activities by its 8th term resident artists who joined 
last February by holding the 2021 Result Report Exhibition. There have been some difficulties in carrying out
diversified creative activities due the changes in many aspects of our daily life caused by the COVID-19 
pandemic. However, the eight artists have devoted all their energy to their art works this year in spite of the 
adversities and you can see the results at the exhibition that we have prepared.  

Artist Residency TEMI maintained our programs to support the experimental creative activities of our eighth 
artists, including Kim Chan Song, Ru Kim, Sung Min Woo, Omyo Cho, Lee Min Ha, Lee Won Kyoung, Im Sun Iy
and Choi Jung Eun, through the support of individual projects, material cost and mentoring. The resident artists’ 
works in a wide variety of genres, such as paintings, installation works and videos representing their individual
philosophies and contemplations will be displayed in the exhibition.  

Our past report exhibitions used to be accompanied by the open studio program that openes the artists’ 
studios, the very places  where they created their works, to the public. Nevertheless, since 2020, we have 
not opened the artists’ studios where they both live and work, in an effort to prevent the expansion of the 
pandemic; and again this year, we are showing them to the public via online videos during the exhibition period.  

Although we can not offer the open studio program, we will present the Online Artists’ Talk for our visitors to 
enjoy the small art event where they can learn more about the artists. It is unfortunate that some of our 
programs are being held online for public health reasons, and we would like to request your understanding.
We will do our best to follow the COVID-19 prevention measures and make the result report exhibition 
as safe as possible.    

Thank you for your interest in and support for the Artist Residency TEMI. We are also grateful to our eighth term
resident artists who have done their utmost in everything. We would like to request your continued support and 
encouragement for the upcoming endeavors of our artists who will lead the future of contemporary art.
