올해 3기 입주예술가들이 일궈온 결과를 선보이는 전시를 개최합니다. 
2016년 대전테미예술창작센터는 어느 해보다 바쁜 한 해를 보냈습니다. 
국내 작가 5명을 포함하여 분기별 국외 작가 2명과 1팀이 입주하였고, 개관 3년차로서 그동안 입주예술가들에게 더 실질적인 지원과 도움을 주기 위해 고민하고 재정비한 프로그램들을 운영하였습니다. 개인전 확대 지원과 전문가에게 기술적 자문을 얻는 ‘전문가 매칭-기술지원’, 여러 비평가에게 다각적인 조언을 받을 수 있는 ‘전문가 매칭-그룹이론지원’ 등 내실 있는 지원프로그램을 구축하여 입주예술가의 창작활동에 힘을 더했습니다.

입주예술가 스스로 정한 전시제목 ‘이상적인 존재들’처럼 각자 색다른(異常) 작가관을 가진 입주예술가들이 이상(理想)을 향해 작품을 벼리는 창작공간으로 대전테미예술창작센터는 자리잡고 있습니다. 특히 올해는 테미 인근지역에서 찾아낸 소재와 주제가 녹아든 입주예술가 개인전과 지역연계프로그램을 개최하여 지역에 예술적 자양분이 될 수 있는 의미를 남겼습니다.  

테미 안에서의 작업에 대한 연구와 고민들을 각종 공모와 프로젝트 당선, 부산비엔날레 참여, 미술은행 작품소장 등 활발한 활약으로 보여준 3기 입주예술가들에게도 감사의 말씀을 전합니다. 앞으로도 대전테미예술창작센터는 입주예술가를 위한 지원과 프로그램 운영으로 시각예술계의 탄탄한 지원기지의 역할을 이어가겠습니다. 감사합니다.

Greetings

It is our pleasure to hold the exhibition of works by 3rd - term resident artists. 
The year 2016 has been quite a busy year for the Artist Residency TEMI. It welcomed five domestic artists as well as two foreign artists and one artist team, while offering programs reorganized to give more practical support to its resident artists based on experience accumulated over the three years since its inauguration. Our resident artists are further encouraged in their creative activities through expanded support for solo exhibitions and r eorganized programs including the ‘Expert Matching Program: Technical Guidance’, which offers technical support from relevant experts, and the ‘Expert Matching Program: Theoretical Group Guidance’, which presents an opportunity to get advice from various critics. 

As the title of the exhibition ‘Ideal Beings’ ? chosen by the artists themselves ? suggests, the Artist Residency TEMI has established itself as a space of creation where each of its resident artists with his/her own unique view of art forges different  works in an attempt to reach his/her ideal. Notably, we held solo exhibitions and regional programs this year based on themes and subject matters discovered in the area surrounding the artist residency, in the hope to sow the seeds of art in the region. 

We would like to thank this year’s 3rd - term resident artists for their active work, including winning various competitions and projects, participating in the Busan Biennale, and getting selected for the inclusion in the collection of the Art Bank through hard study and struggle for artistic creation at TEMI. We will make sure that the Artist Residency TEMI will continue its role as a solid support base for visual artists through its facilities and programs for its resident artists. Thank you.

■  사진교환 프로젝트 ■

내용 
★ '단 한 장의 사진' 아마도 누군가를, 혹은 나의 존재를 '기억하고자'하는 것.
이 아카이브 프로젝트는 사소함, 가벼움, 역사, 상처, 기쁨, 그리움, 불투명함이라는 좌표를 갖고 진행된다. 
작가는 사진 이미지를 통해 어떻게 기억과 시간이 경험되고, 어떻게 사람들의 환경이 현대적 개발을 통해 변화된 삶을 갖게 되었는지 추적하는 단서를 갖게 된다. 
방문자들은 지금은 변해서 없어진 것, 더 이상 존재하지 않는 사람, 사물, 장소에 관한 이미지가 담긴 사진을 갖고 작가의 작업실을 방문한다. 작가는 방문자의 사진을 엽서에 프린트하여 그들이 찾고자 하는 기억을 담는다. 기억은 아카이브가 되어 웹사이트에 올라갈 예정이며,  방문자들은 "나를 잊지 말아요"라는 뜻을 갖고 있는 물망초 드로잉을 받게 된다.

★ 자신만의 이야기가 담긴 사진과 전보경 작가의 물망초 드로잉을 교환합니다. 교환된 사진 이미지는 작가의  [사물기억 아카이브]에 저장됩니다.
