내 역할은 작품을 통해 '나는 이런 것 같은데 도대체 당신은 어떻게 생각하시나요?' 라고 조심스럽게 질문을 던지는 것이다. 꽤 긴 시간을 고민하지만 그 질문은 늘 단순하다. 하지만 관객이 내 질문들에 답하는 동안 작품과 관객, 관객과 공간, 공간과 작품, 작품과 작가 사이를 왔다 갔다 하면서 낯선 체험을 하고, 즉흥적으로 반응하고, 우연히 어떤 순간을 떠올리며 당장 처리해야 할 일을 잠시나마 잊고 자신만의 해답을 구하는 과정을 겪을 것이다 | 정재연

My role is to cautiously pose the question, ‘I feel this way, but what do you think about this?’ through my works. I rack my brain for a long time, but the question is always simple. However, the process of viewers answering my question will be a strange experience of movements between the works and the viewers, between the viewers and the space, between the space and the works, and between the works and the artist, as well as improvised reactions to them, accidental recollection of certain moments, and the search for their own unique answers, forgetting what they have to deal with in their own lives. | CHUNG Jaeyeon
