테이블형 플로터 작업 <이분법과 맹목성(2021)>은 대전 지역에서 벌어진 1950년대 전후 민간인 학살 사건들의 좌표를 제시하고 있다. 결과보고전에서는 입주예술가 프로젝트 개인전 기간동안 각인된 결과물인 소가죽으로 제작한 대전 지도와 기록영상을 전시한다. <그을린 세계(2019)>에서 레이저로 가죽을 태웠던 것과는 달리, <이분법과 맹목성>은 일본에서 불도장을 처음 선보였던 2009년의 프로토타입 작품
The Dichotomy and the Blindness(2021), a work in the form of table-type plotter, shows the coordinates of the sites where civilian massacres occurred in the Daejeon area around the year 1950. This time, the map of Daejeon created by stamping on cowhide during the Resident artist solo exhibition period in TEMI Residency is displayed along with the video showing the production process. Unlike The Scorched World produced in 2019 by scorching leather with laser, this work follows The Monument, a prototype in which I first introduced soldering iron in Japan, 2009. I first came up with the idea of combining leather and soldering iron during the anti-U.S. beef protests in 2008. Soldering iron, the original source of the brand, is itself a tool that indicates the history of discrimination and hatred. Throughout the production process, I continued to think about what kind of meaningful questions I can ask the audiences through the smoke and the smell ? similar to those of burning flesh ? arising from searing leather with a soldering iron.
