중국 고대 신화서 <산해경>이라는 책에는 ‘웅상’이라는 나무의 이야기가 나온다. ‘웅상’이라는 나무에서는 가죽이 나와 사람들이 그 나무가죽으로 옷을 지어 입는다는 신화적 내용을 바탕으로 작가는 나무와 직물, 인간 사이를 연결하고자 하였다. 주변의 자연물 - 오래된 노거수 - 할머니의 노래로 구성된 영상  는 자연의 내재된 질서와 시간성에 적극 동참하고 있는 인간의 속성을 드러내고, 자연과 인간과의 상호작용을 담고 있다. 


In Chinese ancient myth  which is the classic of  mountains and seas, there is the story of a tree called ‘Ungsang.’ Ungsang produces tree hide, and people make clothes with it, trying to connect between tree and textile, and humans.  is a video composed of natural objects in our neighborhood, old big tree, and old lady’s song, and it reveals human nature that are actively involved in the order, embedded in nature and timeliness, and interactions between nature and human beings.
